  Coaches are required to electronically sign and submit this Code of Conduct agreement before they can to coach in a CYO game.
  
  COACH CODE OF CONDUCT
  
  I will conduct myself in a Christian manner that will reflect credit to my parish, school and CYO Athletics and ensure that team members and team followers do likewise- this includes pre-event prayer, being good stewards of the facilities where we compete, and intervening when behavior is not appropriate.
  
  I will teach and guide youth in a manner of sportsmanship that will increase their respect for authority, their sense of fair play, and their ability to adapt to the wins and losses of everyday life.
  
  I will display control and respect the authority of and the decisions made by officials.
  
  I will make no derogatory comments or gestures and will refrain from using foul language to student athletes, coaches, officials and spectators.
  
  I will refrain from criticizing student athletes for making a mistake or not winning.
  
  I will not verbally or physically threaten any coach, player, official or spectator.
  
  I will assist in providing for student athlete safety and welfare, and I will ensure that any contact with our student athletes is appropriate and at all times consistent with The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington Child Protection and Safe Environment Policy.
  
  I will ensure fans conduct themselves appropriately and assist game officials in maintaining control.
  
  I will be knowledgeable of all aspects in the current CYO Athletics manual and make sure that all rules and policies are faithfully observed.
  
  I will take the CDC concussion class and print out my certification.
